I wanted to check this place out since I passed it many times and the place claims to be American (traditional), Chinese, and Korean. The establishment is very clean and the service is good. I do think they are really trying to understand everyone's dining experience. The menu is not very large as you would think. I have no idea what identity the restaurant is trying to be. The menu does not make much sense to me. It had American, Korean and Japanese dishes. Some fusion between the American and Asian dishes are also listed. I order the lunch special, chicken bulgogi. The dish came with white rice and vegetable stir fry. It was mediocre at best. I was asked if I wanted some spicy cabbage which seemed to be a pickled cabbage "kimchi" type dish. Also not great either to my taste. No side dishes offered like most Korean restaurants that have Korean dishes. I really didn't see any Chinese dishes on the menu. There were several Japanese teriyaki dishes though. I also ordered the spring rolls thinking they would be like Thai spring rolls. Nope! They were deep fried and seemed like they were of a frozen variety. Overall experience: disappointing. Service was good, but food needs to be much better in my honest opinion. They also serve breakfast so this adds to the overall confusion of the restaurant.

Had the Duk Kalbi with fried rice and it was very good for the price. The only downside was the sald the came with it. The vegetables were too soft, a little bit overcooked, but overall the plate was great.

The BEST PORK SCHNITZEL I've ever had. It tastes fantastic and it's huge. Can't wait to go back and have it again or try some of there other dishes

Got the chicken schnitzel and beef bulgogi. Both were excellent and very generous portions. Overall we were very happy with our experience.

The perfect name for this place. Food tastes homemade. I had the "Duk Kalbi" special, which pleasantly reminded me of the hamburger steak plate lunch at Grace's Inn back home. Place was clean and tidy. Service was good too. Can't wait to try the other dishes. Mac salad would be a good addition.

Wonderful spring rolls. They were on the specials board, so hopefully it becomes a regular menu item. My father-in-law ordered a burger and fries, and I strongly advise against this. "International" though the selection may be (my mister enjoyed the schnitzel very much), American fare is not their strong suit. But for very small, hole-in-the wall type establishment, it's fairly nice. The atmosphere is a bit odd, since that location was formerly a Cold Stone Creamery, and no remodeling has taken place since, but it's quaint. *Entrees run about $8 on up. *Free Wifi

International Home Cooking says it all, I had the turkey sandwich with spring rolls for an appetizer and felt like I was at home. So delicious!!!

What a gem! There is something for everyone, here. American, Italian, German, Japanese, and Korean all wrapped into one. We were passing through town and stumbled across Mama's Kitchen. My girls loved the homemade meatballs. My husband and I went for the Korean bulgogi (one beef and one chicken). It was, hands down, the best Korean food we've ever had! Everything was made fresh to order. I'm sure, if you were in the mood for German, you wouldn't be disappointed. --- I travel 30 weeks out of the year and have to endure a lot of eating out. By far, this ranks as a rare find. You won't be disappointed. It was also an amazing deal. $50 for four of us and that included drinks and the spring roll appetizer - equally delicious.

I love this place. I have been there about 12 times. The menu is a little small but everything is good and I like the variety. It has never been busy in there but they are friendly and the cook lady always comes out and says hi. I've been there so many times they even know what I drink and have it ready when they see me come in. Good job guys.

Thought we'd try out this place for lunch. The restaurant is small and cozy. This is a true Mom and Pop outfit. The menu was short and to the point. I had the "American Burger". The burger was juicy and had good flavor. The fries on the other hand... The good thing was they were hand cut. The bad thing, they were so greasy. Will I go back?? Probably . I want to give their Teriyaki lunch special a try.

Got the chicken bulgogi and it was really good! The portion was really large (which is the reason I got it), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They pack a cup of kimchi too! Got it to go and they were super courteous! I'll be back!

This place is a real treat. A wide variety of international dishes. My husband had one of the Korean dishes and I had the taco salad with home made salsa. Both were just outstanding. The woman who runs the place is pleasant and prepares everything to order. Will absolutely do this again when we're in the area.

Mom's Kitchen is run by a hard working woman who has had different eateries and businesses at this location in the past; it has been a coffee shop, gelato store, Korean restaurant and more, and now it combines the "greatest hits" from all of those previous businesses into an eclectic eatery. This means that there are still remnants of the old businesses such as the chalk boards that the gelato and coffee flavors were once written on. But there is still free Wi-Fi from the coffee house of yore and the chalk boards have now been repurposed with the Wi-Fi password written on them - as if to say "please don't get bored with the blah surroundings of the dining room and surf the net instead." Highlights from the menu are the owner's iteration of Korean Chicken and Beef Bulgogi served with rice, a couple unique sandwich creations such as Bulgogi on a toasted Hoagie Roll or an Oriental Hamburger comprised of 50/50 beef & pork marinated in a sweet sauce. Also offered on this smallish, yet varied, menu is Spaghetti with Meatballs, a Chicken or Egg Burrito, a Fish Dinner, Ham, Turkey or Roast Beef Sandwiches, a Sausage and Sauerkraut dinner and Chicken or Pork Schnitzel. There is also a breakfast menu, which I have not tried but does offer traditional bacon, eggs and potatoes as well as omelets, pancakes, waffles, steak and eggs as well as a Breakfast Pizza. The Pork Schnitzel was tasty, not greasy or tough and had an appropriate amount of gravy (mushroom and onion; curry gravy is available too) served with a well-seasoned potato salad and very tasty sweet and sour cabbage salad. It makes for a filling and satisfying meal and is on par with other Schnitzel offerings in town, even though those offerings include spätzle. The Chicken Bulgogi was tasty and plentiful, and although it only is offered with only one pickle, cabbage Kimchi. I would like to see additional Korean pickled offerings of various vegetables akin to a regular Korean restaurant, which is completely within the capabilities of the chef. Nonetheless, the Bulgogi was filling and tasty. The flavors of Mom's Kitchen are just that; "mom's" interpretation of Mexican, Italian, American and Korean - all are tasty and filling, albeit a bit off from an authentic offering of each national cuisine. However, if you find yourself hungry and not sure where to go for a meal, or if you are wanting to dine out with others who have varied cuisine desires, Mom's Kitchen might just be one of the few places to please your palate and everyone in your party. Overall Rating: 3.5 Stars Food: 4 stars Service: 3 Stars Cleanliness: 3.5 Stars Atmosphere: 2 Price/Value: 2.8 Stars

Have had breakfast here twice with my wife. We will be coming here often. Amazing food, great prices, great service, quiet but friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to try the bulgogi. Definitely a place we will be coming back to.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
